Another darter suspended for match-fixing

The Darts Regulation Authority (DRA) has handed Jack Main a two-year suspension for violating match-fixing rules during the MODUS Super Series.

Main, who held a PDC Tour Card in the 2021 and 2022 seasons, ran into trouble several months ago. His match against Lisa Ashton on June 9, 2023, which was won 4-0 by Ashton, was quickly investigated by the relevant authorities.

The case finally came before the disciplinary committee on Dec. 11, and it was subsequently decided to impose a suspension on Main until Dec. 31, 2025. In addition, he must also pay £762.41 in legal costs. The 27-year-old Englishman does still have the right to appeal the verdict.

Main is not the first player suspended for match-fixing. In recent years, Kyle McKinstry, Wessel Nijman, Prakash Jiwa and Andy Jenkins have also been suspended for breaking the rules.
