Fallon Sherrock has once again underlined why she is an undisputed icon of the women’s circuit. The 'Queen of the Palace' claimed the Women’s Week title at the
Modus Super Series on Saturday, adding another fine chapter to her illustrious career.
For Sherrock, it was also a special milestone: her first title in the Live Lounge, the permanent stage of the
Modus Super Series in Portsmouth.
The Women’s Week is a special concept within the
Modus Super Series, where twelve female players battle over multiple days. The format demands consistency, mental resilience, and the ability to strike at decisive moments. Throughout the week Sherrock proved she possesses all these qualities and capped it off perfectly in the final.
In the semi-finals, Sherrock was too strong for Gemma Hayter with a 4-2 win, while
Lisa Ashton defeated Priscilla Steenbergen 4-2 in the other semi. Sherrock versus Ashton delivered two marquee names in the final. In the end, Sherrock edged it by the narrowest of margins, 4-3.
A timely boost for Sherrock after her disappointing stint at Q-School earlier this month. There, ‘The Queen of the Palace’ failed to win a single match and, unsurprisingly, left without a PDC Tour Card.
What does the future hold for Sherrock?
What the coming months will bring for Sherrock remains unclear for now. The 31-year-old Englishwoman has previously indicated that, especially if she did not secure a PDC Tour Card, she wants to ease off a little to focus on her health. Whether that still remains the case is unclear, but regardless, Sherrock has shown some of her strongest form in a long-time during this week in the Live Lounge.
She is expected to pick up a number of events on the PDC Women’s Series, possibly combined with another appearance in the
MODUS Super Series.
