There is no change in the prize money given out at this year's UK Open.

Just as in 2017, a total of £350,000 will be handed out. The UK Open champion will take home the £70,000 top prize. Peter Wright was the winner last year. Snakebite picked up his first major title by beating Gerwyn Price 11-6 in the final. Whoever finishes runner-up will claim £35,000. Both losing semi-finalists collect £17,500.
The 128-strong field have plenty of chances to win money. Only the 32 seeds are guaranteed a payout, as they enter in the third round. Every player to compete in the third round gets £1,750. Double that figure will be given to players who make the fourth round. All fifth round contestants collect £6,500.
The 'FA Cup of Darts' sees 96 professionals joined by 32 amateurs. The amateur entrants battled through Riley's qualifiers around the country to make it to Minehead. They will be looking to replicate Rob Cross' rise to stardom. Voltage first appeared at the 2016 UK Open as an amateur, and became world champion less than two years later.
