Adrian Lewis to face Mickey Mansell in final of Players Championship Eight

Adrian Lewis has made it back-to-back Players Championship finals and will face Mickey Mansell, a first time finalist on the Pro Tour, they will do battle for £10,000 in the final.
Lewis made it through to the final with a thrashing of Simon Whitlock 6-1 to show that 'Jackpot' hasn't lost his touch after a slide down the rankings and results as of late.
He averaged 105 in that semi-final and now will be after another Players Championship title meaning he will have won a title every year since 2009.
His opponent is the Clonoe Cyclone, Mickey Mansell. The Northern Irishman is well known but has never reached a ranking final. He has had a brilliant day and dispatched Josh Payne 6-3.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
