Anderson sweeps aside Evans as Part rolls back the years in Minehead

The favourite for the title come the end of tomorrow, Gary Anderson is still in the reckoning at Minehead. He defeated ‘Rapid’ Ricky Evans in double quick time 10-3.
It has always been known that fast players suit the Flying Scotsman and despite when Evans tried clawing it back; Anderson was in control throughout.
Also among those through is John Part. ‘Darth Maple’ made a stunning comeback to win 10-9 against Ron Meulenkamp. He hit a great under pressure 93 checkout to win and have his best run in a very long time.

- It happens. Remember, anyone who has watched German and Dutch players in matches - their respective countries will have seen/heard just as bad jeering (if not worse). - Was watching an old World Masters final the other day between Eric Bristow and John Lowe, the crowd respect for both players on throw was first class, not a sound. You can imagine now the idiots who were whistling on De Deckers throw proudly boasting about it on social media. I even turned to my husband and said "Could you imagine this happening if Russ Bray was the referee tonight? At least there would have been a crowd admonishment- Ladies and Gentleman please."
