Unicorn's investment in China has taken another big step forward with the signing of one of the country's top players, as Xiao Chen Zong joins the darts manufacturer
The 19-year-old from Dandong is the future of darts in China, a market which is being targeted by the
PDC. Zong made his debut at the World Championship on Wednesday, however he lost 2-0 in sets to Bernie Smith in the Preliminary Round.
The Shanghai Darts Masters will again take place in July. Xiao played in this year's event losing to fellow Unicorn star James Wade in the first Round. He is the second Chinese player to join Team Unicorn following in the footsteps of Yuan Jun Liu.
Unicorn Managing Director Edward Lowy said: "He is a very promising player. An emerging talent in China. He has done really well to qualify for the World Championship and whatever happens, it will be great experience for the future."
