Clayton seals maiden Pro Tour Title

Welshman Jonny Clayton has taken victory in the final Players Championship event of the season.
Clayton became the 15th different winner on the floor this season in just 22 events on a day that wrapped up the non-televised darts of the season.
The Ferret as he is nicknamed began the day defeating Charismatic Canadian John Norman Jr. 6-3, before beating Terry Jenkins 6-4. The Bull appearing in just his second Pro Tour event of the year in order to save his World Championship qualification.
Yesterdays champion Rob Cross was dispatched in the board final, Clayton sealing that one 6-5. Further victories saw him progress to the final, Darren Webster, Antonio Alcinas and Jeffrey de Zwaan the opponents.
James Wilson was Clayton's final opponent. The Jammie Dodger was appearing in his second PDC final since moving over from the BDO. The pair traded the opening legs, with Wilson having more misfortune as his darts bounced out. Clayton then went on a rampage, taking out 3 ton plus finishes on his way to a 6-1 victory. A 121 on the bull for the match a particular highlight.
The pair will both be at the Players Championships in Minehead later this year after securing qualification today.
