The PDC World Series of Darts calendar has been confirmed for 2019. Cologne and Hamilton set to host events for the first time replacing Gelsenkirchen and Auckland.
The
World Series of Darts event in Cologne will be hosted at the LANXESS Arena. This is where the Target Darts Masters and previous high profile exhibition events have been hosted. Featuring the likes of Michael van Gerwen, Phil Taylor and Peter Wright. There was 14,000 spectators for the event this year. The
PDC will be hoping that this atmosphere can be replicated as it plays host to the World Series for the first time.
Hamilton will be the host of the previous Auckland leg, with the Claudelands Arena event at the end of dates in usual destinations of Melbourne and Brisbane.
Also staying on the calendar is the US Darts Masters with the World Series beginning there in 2019. This means for the second year running, Dubai has been omitted off the calendar.
As well as that the Asian leg has been removed in Shanghai, with the tour slimmed down to six instead of seven as a result. It all culminates in the end of season World Series of Darts Finals taking place in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
