Vincent van der Voort moved through to the third round at the PDC World Darts Championship after a brilliant straight sets win where he limited Darren Webster to only one leg in the match.

Van der Voort was lucky to claim the win against Lourence Ilagan yesterday but that wasn't the case in this tie with him hitting two 180's and an 87 average on the way to the win. He will now face either Chris Dobey or Steve Beaton in Round Three and who would bet against him continuing his run. In the first set, Webster missed seven darts at doubles and was punished for this by 'The Dutch Destroyer' who has continued his form from his win over Lourence Ilagan and claimed it three-one. He continued to pounce on the missed doubles in the requisite set with him breaking the throw of Webster in the first leg. Van der Voort followed that up with a 140 checkout to extend his lead to two. It was a two-nil lead in sets for Vincent with him completing a clean sweep of the set on double 20. He sealed the deal with ease in the following set with Vincent having the throw in the set and taking control. Like the previous set it was a clean sweep as he ensured progression. for more information about the PDC World Darts Championship, including schedules and the prize fund breakdown.
