Charity Night London

Tuesday, 30th of October saw London’s social elite and leading professional Darts players gather for a fabulous evening of ‘Darts at the Arts’. The world’s finest luxury darts competition; hosted by the UK’s finest private bookmakers, Fitzdares, in support of National Numeracy.

Taking place at the private members club, The Arts Club, a stellar line up of darts champions led by world number one Michael Van Gerwen (Mighty Mike) and as well as Bobby George (King of Bling) Vincent van der Voort (The Dutch Destroyer) and Paul Nicholson (The Asset), played against each other and as well as celebrity attendees including TV personalities Donna Air. Dutch sensation Michael Van Gerwen proved why is the two-time world champion, defeating the other darts stars in a brilliant run. The evening was hosted by TV Presenter and National Numeracy ambassador, Rachel Riley and guests proudly raised funds for the independent charity which is committed to transforming attitudes and helping adults and children across the UK improve their everyday maths skills. Mike Ellicock, Chief Executive of National Numeracy said; “Darts at the Arts was a fantastic event. Darts players have to be great with numbers, so it was fun to play on this link to raise money to support those who struggle. Remarkably, half of the adults across the UK have the everyday maths level that we expect of primary school children. Our work is focused on raising awareness of this hidden issue and then doing something about it so we’re very grateful for this support from Fitzdares and their wonderful guests”. In addition to supporting the charity at ‘Darts at The Arts’, Fitzdares also celebrated launching a betting app designed exclusively for existing private members. “It is simple, fast and intuitive – exactly what our busy members expect from technology” says Will Woodhams, CEO of Fitzdares. At the event, guests enjoyed canapes including Foie gras, lightly curried langoustine and truffle chips and drank The Duppy Share Rum, ‘Rum Hundred and Eightyyy!’ cocktails.
