Daryl Gurney continued a brilliant year which could put him in contention for the Premier League in 2018 by knocking out
Adrian Lewis 2-1 in front of a home crowd in a thriller.
Gurney made light work of the first set smashing Adrian Lewis 3-0 including a 132 checkout.
Adrian Lewis returned to the dart board and played well hitting a 180 and a 96 checkout to make it 1-0 but Gurney didn't let up with a second 180 and a D10 for Superchin to make it 1-1.
Lewis returned and lead 2-1 against Gurney with a brilliant 124 checkout. Jackpot couldn't make it count though and missed darts which allowed Gurney to level up but Lewis forced a deciding set with the 2x World Champion taking out 77.
'Superchin' started the deciding set by hitting D9 with a last dart in hand to make it 1-0. Gurney fired in a 180 with Lewis firing back after some poor visits and a missed 112 from Jackpot allowed Gurney to go one away at 2-0 up. A poor final leg at times for Lewis allowed 'Superchin' to hit D9 to win a thriller 2-1.
