Chris Dobey has started his PDC World Championship campaign with a clinical straight sets win over Boris Koltsov.

He averaged 92 and hit forty-seven percent of his doubles as he afforded Koltsov only two legs. ‘Hollywood’ will now take on Steve Beaton in round two after a brilliant display. Dobey started the contest with three legs on the spin to clinch the first set with a 96 average for ‘Hollywood’. He kept this average going with him quickly taking the second set by the same score line as the Bedlington ace went one away from the win. Koltsov in the requisite set ended up finally getting a leg on the board pinning a 64 checkout. Dobey answered straight back and went 2-1 up before a deciding leg was forced by Koltsov. Despite that Dobey still was able to clean up and grab a straight sets win over the Russian Rocket to move through. This also represented the third three-nil of the night but can Dobey’s stablemate Anderson do the same in the final game?? for more information about the PDC World Darts Championship, including schedules and the prize fund breakdown.
