Anderson didn’t have to be at his best but still he hit seven 180’s and a 95 average en route.
In the first set it went all the way to a decider but Anderson pinned double 20 to claim the first set.
After that it was ‘Iron Man’s time to shine with Burness claiming the set win three-one.
This is despite Anderson hitting a 130 checkout to make it two-one to Burness in the set.
Anderson though from there sailed through with him taking the third set with a three nil score line.
He did the same in the final set to give himself the first win of the tournament and avert any shock that could have occurred.
In terms of the next round he will face Jermaine Wattimena or Michael Barnard who will face off next Thursday.
