Dobey keeps World Matchplay dream alive, Thornton beats German qualifier

Dobey needs to reach the semi-final in Hamburg to keep his World Matchplay dream alive. He will play Kim Huybrechts in the second round of the European Darts Matchplay.
Robert Thornton also booked his place in the second round of the nineth European Tour event. 'The Thorn' overcame German qualifier Rene Eidams 6-4.
