Adrian Lewis and James Wade were two of the bigger scalps in Zwolle during the
PDC Dutch Darts Masters. Antonio Alcinas and Jonny Clayton succumbed to defeats against lower ranked players. So too did World Championship semi-finalist Jamie Lewis. His conqueror kicks off Day Two. Wayne Jones averaged 101 in that win. He'll need more of the same to hold off 2013 Dutch Darts Masters champion Kim Huybrechts, even if the Belgian isn't in top form.
John Henderson, another incumbent seed, opens his Dutch campaign against James Richardson. Gerwyn Price might have presumed he was to play Alcinas but it's the dangerous German, Dragutin Horvat, who provides the opposition. After that is an all-English tie as Mervyn King clashes with Ryan Joyce.
A semi-finalist last time out, Joe Cullen is seeking another
European Tour adventure. His opponent is Jermaine Wattimena, who is even more crowd-pleasing when in front of a room of his compatriots. The next tie should be another treat for the fans. Dave Chisnall, who is in hot scoring form even if his title challenges have a knack of fizzling out, plays the effervescent Cameron Menzies. The final game of the afternoon is a star-studded affair. Ian White, who already has a 2018 ranking title under his belt, meets Kyle Anderson. The Original brushed aside Christian Kist and will have his sights set on a last 16 meeting with the winner of the previous match.
The action begins at 12pm, live on PDC TV.
