European Darts Matchplay hat-trick for Van Gerwen

The Irishman impressed with victories over Rob Cross, Kim Huybrechts and Mensur Suljovic to reach his first Euro Tour title. However, he had to satisfy with a second place, as Van Gerwen blown him.
The world number one hit a 10-dart, 12-dart and two 13-dart legs to storm into a 6-1 lead. O'Connor won his second leg after hitting a 90 checkout in leg eighth. 'Mighty Mike' then won two another legs to claim victory in Hamburg.
