Last night saw the final ranking event before the cut off for the World Matchplay taking place in just under three weeks at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.

The 16 seeds involved begin with Michael van Gerwen of course who will be desperate to add the World Matchplay to his collection again; something he was denied by Phil Taylor last year.
It ends with Kim Huybrechts and Adrian Lewis, Huybrechts lost to Willie O’Connor yesterday who reached the final but in the end this was enough to be ahead of Lewis and potentially avoid an early meeting with Michael van Gerwen.
In terms of the ProTour field, it is headed up by Jonny Clayton who will make his World Matchplay debut after picking up two titles in the past 8 months. Towards the bottom Richard North just did enough to get in with Jelle Klaasen having a late surge to finish in 13th.
