Despite bowing out in the Group Stages of the Finder Darts Masters, Glen Durrant is still favourite to defend his Lakeside crown next month and he was once again asked at the Dutch tournament which despite him saying he was sick of hearing it, "When are you going to the PDC?"
"I have made it very clear that the PDC will be my last challenge, I'm still playing at the World Championship at Lakeside this year, I signed a contract for it, and if I win Lakeside, I'll stay with the BDO. I move to the PDC, "says the Englishman.
According to commentator Jacques Nieuwlaat, it is not surprising if Durrant will soon make the switch. The reigning world champion is not the youngest anymore and has new challenges at the PDC. "At the BDO, Glen has had the chance to grow into the darts player he is now, he has been loyal to the organisation and now he can look further," said the NH commentator.
