Gurney wins second PDC televised title with win over Van Gerwen at Players Championship Finals

Daryl Gurney has won his second televised title in as many years with a brilliant win over Michael van Gerwen at the Players Championship Finals in Minehead.

Gurney grabbed the top prize of £100,000 as a result and denied Van Gerwen another title.
The game surprisingly was evenly matched throughout proceedings. This was until MVG went 7-6 up and it looked like he was going to win.
Gurney though hit back to make it 8-7 with a brilliant sixty four finish on D16.
They then both jostled for position until Gurney made it 10-9 then claimed the title from there.
It caps off a brilliant weekend for ‘Superchin’ who has finally got one over Van Gerwen after a poor record previously.
