Hedman urges fellow players to sign up to PDC Qualifier: 'This is a massive chance to make a statement'

It was announced this week that BDO players would face no sanctions for attempting the PDC ladies qualifier. Deta Hedman has called on all female dart players to give the qualifier a go.

Hedman who was one of the first players to throw her hat in the ring; has said on Facebook that it is a massive chance.
As well as that ‘The Heart Of Darts’ thanked both the PDC and BDO for the opportunity.
“Well Ladies the BDO board have given us the green light to play in the PDC ladies qualifier. There will be no sanctions on us including the two ladies who qualify for the Ally Pally. Last time the PDC done a ladies event the BDO didn’t confirm we wouldnt face sanctions until about a week before the entry deadline and it left some in doubt .”
“This is a massive chance to make a statement about ladies darts, I urge lady darters of all abilities to enter this event it’s free.” said Hedman on her Facebook page.
“The Heart Of Darts” closed out by saying: “Thank you PDC and the BDO boards for this opportunity.”
