Jamie Hughes impressed with a strong performance against Adrian Lewis at the European Darts Grand Prix. 'Yozza' missed double 12 for a nine-darter but beat 'Jackpot' 6-3.

Hughes kicked off with 177 and 180 scores in the third leg before missing the double with his ninth dart. He still broke Lewis' throw with a superb 11-darter before moving 4-1 ahead with a 91 checkout and a 12-dart leg. Lewis came back to 4-3, before the Tipton ace claimed two legs on the spin to advance to the third round.
Steve Beaton reached the final day in Sindelfingen after defeating Mensur Suljovic 6-5. Nathan Aspinall knocked out local hero Max Hopp with a 6-3 win over the German.
