The International Darts Open 2017 reaches it's conclusion today, the event in Riesa has seen some shock results so far and with certain seeds exiting the competition yesterday it is all to play for in the penultimate event of the year on the Euro Tour with the third round taking place in the Afternoon with the Quarter's, Semi's and Final in the Evening.
Peter Wright kicks it all of against the man who defeated him in Mannheim, Ronny Huybrechts who has looked good so far. Peter Jacques will be hoping to vanquish another dutchman in Jelle Klaasen, the number 8 seed. Also one of the success stories of the weekend, Nordic and Baltic qualifier Dennis Nilsson will be hoping to continue his brilliant run after dispatching Beaton and Gurney. An all qualifier affair will also take place between Josh Payne and Ron Meulenkamp with a big opportunity for either man.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
