Jones sees off De Zwaan, De Graaf edges out Nicholson and Edhouse defeats Murschell

The evening session has begun at the Dutch Darts Championship with Wayne Jones, Jeffrey de Graaf and Ritchie Edhouse making it through to round two.

De Zwaan wasn’t really at the races against Jones and the Wanderer took advantage despite his performance not being brilliant either. Jones will know he will have to step it up against Adrian Lewis who he faces off on Saturday.
De Graaf became the first Host Nation Qualifier through to round two after seeing off Paul Nicholson in an entertaining clash. The Asset looked on the verge of defeat only to claw it back to 5-5 and a last leg shootout. He missed his chance to win and De Graaf claimed it.
Finally it was Edhouse who moved through. The Enfield ace saw off Canadian youngster Dawson Murschell in a 6-4 win where he averaged close to the 90 mark.
