'I've got the confidence' - Kyle Anderson speaks after first round win over Peter Jacques

Kyle Anderson has had a brilliant year after his previous troubles with his visa last year which ruled 'The Original' out of the tournament allowing Kevin Painter into the reckoning.
Since then he has gone on to win both the Auckland Darts Masters as well as a Pro Tour and doesn't look to be stopping any time soon with a great win over Peter Jacques on Sunday.
Afterwards he spoke to PDC.TV and admitted he has the confidence to at least reach the Quarter-Finals at the Alexandra Palace this time out.
"I don't like to come across as cocky but I've seen the bracket and I've got the confidence in myself to get to at least the quarters to be honest," said the Auckland Darts Masters winner.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024

If you want to see crowd passion... watch a match when German and Dutch players face off... that can be just as bad if not worse for crowd noises.
