Lewis beats Smith in thriller at PDC Danish Darts Open

Adrian Lewis won in a thriller from Michael Smith with 6-5 to enter round 3 of the Danish Darts Open.

In a match with no breaks it came down to the last leg in the PDC Danish Darts Open. Adrian Lewis started the leg but Smith had the upper hand with a double 180. The 9 dart attempt failed for Smith but he als lost the match after a 14 darter from Adrian Lewis.
Both men averaged above the 100 (Lewis 101.03 and Smith 103.26) and the checkout from Smith was 45.45% and Lewis 31.25%. Adrian Lewis will play Stephen Bunting in the 3rd round.
Peter Wright is the 3rd player in the evening session who goes to the 3rd round with an average of 96+. He beats Barry Lynn with 6-1.
Wright was way too strong for Barry Lynn and took quickly a lead of 4-0, to finish the game off with 6-1. Lynn only had 2 attempts on the double so he was happy not to be whitewashed. Peter Wright will play Gerwyn Price in round 3 who was too strong for Jelle Klaasen.
