Lim after first round victory over New Zealand: “We are delighted to be through”

Paul Lim has continued Singapore’s success at the World Cup alongside Harith Lim with a victory over New Zealand.
’The Singapore Slinger’ has continued to show his ability to roll back the years and he is delighted to be through but cannot wait to face England. Lim said he loves to play on that stage and wants to cause a shock like they did vs Scotland last year. “Nobody likes to lose in the first round so we are delighted to be through,” said Paul Lim. “We love it on that stage and I think we can do even better than we have done the last few years. “I can’t wait to face England, I’m really looking forward to that match and hopefully we can play the same game we did against Scotland last year and cause another huge shock.” For more information on the World Cup of Darts click .

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024

If you want to see crowd passion... watch a match when German and Dutch players face off... that can be just as bad if not worse for crowd noises. It happens, I have watched and heard Littler being jeered - Dirk van Duijvenbode in Holland, January this year. Where was your outrage then?
