Robert Marijanovic produced a brilliant display to see off Jermaine Wattimena and become one of multiple Germans in the second day of action for the first time.
He hit a 101 average in a 6-3 victory against the in form Dutchman in what turned out to be the performance of the day at the European Darts Matchplay. Marijanovic spoke afterwards and admitted that it is an amazing feeling to win in front of the German crowd. He also said he was pleased to perform on such a big stage and that he wants to now keep this up. "It is an amazing feeling to win in front of this crowd," said Marijanovic, who won his Tour Card at the start of the year. "I am so pleased that I performed on such a big stage and now I want to keep up this level. I can't wait to play in front of this great crowd again tomorrow and if I keep playing well I could go far this weekend."
