There were wins for John Michael, Keegan Brown, home favourite Max Hopp and Ronny Huybrechts to reach the second round of the IDO (International Darts Open) 2017 and get closer to the opportunity presented by Michael van Gerwen not being involved this weekend.
John Michael started the evening session at the International Darts Open 2017 with a comfortable 6-3 win against Nandor Bezzeg who came through the 'Krzysztof Ratajski' qualifier and the 'Deadly Rose' will face Mervyn King tomorrow in the 2nd round.
Keegan Brown continued his resurgence in form defeating the potentially dangerous Michael Plooy 6-4 and will face Ian White tomorrow.
Max Hopp finally got back to winning ways on the Euro Tour stage dispatching Mark Webster 6-4 with some scares throughout that he was about to capitulate. He will face Alan Norris tomorrow.
Ronny Huybrechts will face Cristo Reyes as his good form continues defeating rising star in the
PDC in 'Super Ted' Ted Evetts despite Ted coming back from 5-1 down to trouble the Belgian. 'The Rebel' defeated him though 6-4 with Evetts having 1 dart to force the decider.
