Michael van Gerwen reaches 100th ProTour semi-final with run in Players Championship 9

Michael van Gerwen won yet another Players Championship title on Saturday returning to the ProTour in style after a few weeks off. This also marked a landmark for the World Number One as he collected another record through his run.
'Mighty Mike' reached his 100th semi-final where he went on to defeat James Wade before then winning against Scott Taylor who was in his maiden PDC final.
Van Gerwen not only reached that landmark but it also meant that he passed Phil Taylor and became the first player ever to reach 100 on the Pro Tour.
This is yet another milestone for MVG and he will be hoping to reach more in the future surpassing the landmarks set by Phil Taylor.

- This coming from the lowest ranked player in it who was only selected by his paranoia for attention from the crowd by having to conduct the crowd to his walk on music. I know a lot of darts fans who cannot stand Arsepinall, oddly I know people who don't like darts but frequently attend events for the atmosphere and have no idea who was playing.
