Haupai Puha will make his debut at the PDC World Cup of Darts in June, representing New Zealand.
The 34-year-old earned his spot at the international event by topping the Darts Players New Zealand (DPNZ) rankings. Puha will feature alongside Cody Harris, who is making his fourth World Cup of Darts appearance.
Puha has dominated the New Zealand darting scene, and is currently well clear of former World Cup participants Craig Caldwell and Warren Parry in the rankings.
He joins Harris, whose Challenge Tour performance in 2018 led him to the PDC World Championship. The highly-rated 33-year-old beat Martin Schindler at the Ally Pally, before losing narrowly to Jamie Lewis.
Puha is the third partner Harris has had in three years, having previously played alongside Parry and Rob Szabo.
The New Zealand duo are tasked with improving on one of the poorer World Cup of Darts records.
It has been four years since the Oceanic nation's last World Cup win, a 5-4 first round success against Canada.
To date, that 2015 win was one of just two that New Zealand have managed in the competition.
32 nations will once again do battle for the World Cup title, with the tournament being held in Hamburg this year.
Only two nations have won the tournament: England and the Netherlands, who are the back-to-back defending champions.
