Rob Cross is the first man into the Semi-Finals of the Players Championship Finals. Voltage saw off
James Wade 10-6 in the first quarter final match and will play the winner of Steve Beaton and Jonny Clayton for a spot in tonight's final.
Cross went on the offence immediately holding his throw in the first leg, before breaking the Wade throw in 12 darts. Wade held at the second time of asking to get himself on the board taking out a clinical 121 finish, but trailed at the first interval 4-1.
After the break the pair traded holds of throw until the 10th leg. Cross producing a spectacular 148 finish to deny Wade who was sat on just 44. That break was the first of three in a row, that would push Voltage even further ahead to 8-4.
A further hold put the number 1 seed just 1 leg away from victory. The machine was still battling away though, breaking the Cross throw to trail at 9-6, but failed to hold his own own in the 16th leg, allowing Cross to break for victory.
