Kevin Painter has sealed his spot among the 48 players who have qualified by right for the World Championship next month. 'The Artist' reached a final on the Pro Tour earlier this year, which cemented his place for a 17th consecutive PDC World Championship appearance.
The likes of Peter Jacques and Richard North will debut at the event through the Pro Tour order of merit. Rob Cross as well could in theory rise up to 13th with a win at Minehead and so for those who are still involved in the tournament there is an added incentive to make themselves better off for the World Championships.
The following players are not part of the list due to the fact they qualified through different Order of Merits or Qualifiers. The likes of Luke Humphries, Diogo Portela, Krzysztof Ratajski and Cody Harris will make their debuts after having impressive years and they will join established names in the tournament like Paul Lim and Aleksandr Oreshkin in what is bound to be another brilliant showpiece event at the Alexandra Palace.
