Raymond van Barneveld booked a place in the semi-finals of the Brisbane Darts Masters. The 51-year-old Dutchman defeated Gary Anderson 10-8.

After six legs, it was not likely that Van Barneveld would be the winner of this encouter. Anderson took a 5-1 lead, exactly the same score as during their tie at the World Matchplay. Then it was 'Barney' who led 5-1, but ended up losing to the Scotsman.
A few poor legs from 'The Flying Scotsman' ensured that Van Barneveld was able to make 5-5. The five-time world champion started to play better and took over the lead via double 8 and a 15-dart leg for 7-5.
Anderson reduced the deficit with a 12-dart leg for 6-7, however 'Barney' retained his lead with a 12-dart leg of his own.
The Dutchman broke his opponent via double 8 and came with a 15-darter at 7-5. At 9-8, Van Barneveld had a bad start of the eighteenth leg with 59 and 50 scores, but recovered perfectly with 140 and 180. He left 72 after twelve darts and hit double 6 with his second matchdart.
