Corey Cadby showed his class to defeat Gary Anderson at Players Championship 2.

The Australian star averaged 103.1 to win 6-4 in Barnsley. Anderson went 2-0 up, but Cadby won the next three. In a fantastic sixth leg, both hit two 180s to set up finishes after nine darts. Cadby squandered three darts at a double and the Flying Scotsman pounced to level the scores. The King won the next two legs and, though Anderson earned the chance to force a decider, sealed the tie in the tenth leg. Cadby will take on Ian White, who won a brilliant tie with Steve West. Diamond averaged 104.7, claiming an 11-darter and two 12-darters in a 6-4 success. West averaged 106.4 himself, but did not do enough to win.
Michael van Gerwen came close to a nine-darter in a 6-2 win over Adrian Lewis. Mighty Mike's attempt at double 12 to seal perfection fell well short, but a 10-darter was wrapped up in the next visit. The world number one averaged 110 as he swatted Jackpot aside. He will play Simon Stevenson in the semi-finals. The Mirror Man was pushed all the way by Ryan Joyce, but prevailed 6-5 in Barnsley.
