It's now a stunning seven wins from seven in the Champions League for Suljovic. Despite the
PDC moving the event to Brighton, the 2017 champion has picked up where he left off in Cardiff 12 months ago.
Wins over world number two
Peter Wright and world number three
Rob Cross have helped Suljovic claim top spot in Group B. Now 'the Gentle' will be looking to force home that superiority. His Sunday afternoon features a match with
Simon Whitlock, who is already out of the competition after two defeats.
It's crunch time in the second Group B tie. Rob Cross has two points, and a leg difference of 0. Peter Wright also has two points, and a leg difference of 0. It means that it's winner takes all - if 'all' translates as 'second place in Group B of the Champions League'.
The race between
Gary Anderson and
Daryl Gurney to escape Group A is the highlight of the latter half of the session. First, Gurney plays the eliminated
Dave Chisnall, knowing defeat sends him home. Should Superchin grab the win, Anderson has to defeat
Michael van Gerwen. Given Mighty Mike's scintillating Saturday showings, the Flying Scotsman might not have the odds in his favour.
It appears that van Gerwen will play Cross or Wright, with Suljovic meeting Anderson or Gurney. However, even the top spots aren't mathematically secured just yet.
