For Turner it was her first Category A title. It was sealed in some style, with the Surrey ace beating world champion Lisa Ashton 5-1 in the final. Veenstra, meanwhile, claimed victory in an all-Dutch final with Wesley Harms.
'Flyers' claimed the title after a last leg decider, averaging 101 in the final. It was just about enough to see off Harms, who averaged 93.78. He beat the likes of Matt Clark, Wouter Vaes and Kyle McKinstry en route to the final, also needing a decider to defeat the Northern Irishman. Harms had overcome Chris Landman and Carl Hamilton to reach the final, but fell at the final hurdle in a high-quality affair.
