PDC European Darts Matchplay schedule: Sunday, afternoon session

Michael van Gerwen produced a magic moment to light up the second round. The Dutchman struck a nine-dart leg against Ryan Joyce in Hamburg to end a run of 43 European Tour events without perfection achieved. Now the European Darts Matchplay title is the only thing on the two-time PDC world champion's mind. Van Gerwen opens the third round on Sunday afternoon against Robert Thornton.
After ending home favourite Max Hopp's hopes - and ending a dodgy run against the German - Ian White faces a familiar foe. Darren Webster lost to White in the Players Championship 16 final; now revenge is on the cards. Justin Pipe defeated seed Simon Whitlock on Saturday and has Joe Cullen in his sights on Sunday afternoon. Then Daryl Gurney and Stephen Bunting, who both narrowly avoided shocks in round two, go head-to-head.
Jelle Klaasen caused a minor upset in seeing off Michael Smith; the Dutchman's reward is a tie against Andy Boulton, who beat Steve Beaton last time out. Jason Lowe's spectacularly successful European Tour debut continues against Gerwyn Price. Paul Rowley also makes his maiden Sunday appearance, facing Mensur Suljovic.
William O'Connor, after beating world champion Rob Cross for the first time, plays Kim Huybrechts to round off the afternoon action. Play begins at 12pm BST, with PDC TV streaming what will hopefully be another dramatic session.
