Peter Wright set up a rematch with Glen Durrant as the world number two beat
Stephen Bunting 10-4 at the Grand Slam.
Wright, who lost to Durrant in Group E, checked out 161 on the way to a comfortable victory.
In a low-key opening, Wright took the first leg before narrowly missing double 16 for a 105 checkout, allowing Bunting to level the scores. The former
BDO world champion almost lit up the opening stages with a 164 out denied by the width of the bull wire, but Wright held his throw.
Bunting then fell apart in the fourth leg when on for an 11-darter, with five missed doubles allowing Wright to claim a break. The 'Bullet' refused to let Wright pull clear, though, and a 46 checkout made it 3-2.
Wright returned from the break looking to hammer home his advantage, and opened with a break of throw. A hold followed, before an outstanding 161 checkout gave the Mendham man a 6-2 lead. The world number two was on a roll. An 84 finish made it 7-2, and he made it 8-2 in no time.

Bunting cruised to victory in Group F ahead of Dave Chisnall, Scott Mitchell and Jeffrey de Zwaan, but had no answer for Wright's excellent scoring in the second session.
The third, though, was another matter. Bunting broke the throw straight away, before starting the 12th leg with seven perfect darts. The finishing was as on point as the scoring, and an 11-darter made it 8-4.
'Snakebite' was not generous enough to allow the comeback to continue, taking out 56 with ease to edge closer to the win.
56 was needed again to round off the win, and Wright repeated the trick to cruise into the quarter-finals with a 103 average.
