James Wade has pulled out late from this weekend's Hungarian Darts Trophy which is due to take place between Friday 28 - Sunday 30 August at the MVM Dome in Budapest and he has been replaced in the field as a result.

Gerwyn Price initially withdrew from the event from the list of entries and he has since been replaced by Callan Rydz, but that was prior to the event taking place. While Wade on the other hand decided to withdraw after the draw was confirmed.
Therefore as per Rule 3.7, he was directly replaced in the event by Madars Razma who goes on to face Martin Schindler/Keane Barry and despite not technically being a seed, he takes Wade's spot in the draw so will not play until Saturday after Schindler and Barry have faced off.

Wade out in Budapest

Wade has just returned from Australia and New Zealand. He was triumphant in Wollongong last weekend winning the Australian Darts Masters, but it seems ahead of a hectic few weeks that he will not in fact play in Budapest and has decided not to travel. Albeit the reasoning isn't fully clear other than the fact that he has decided not to play this weekend.
The field is led by Luke Humphries who opens up against Dirk van Duijvenbode or David Pisek. Gian van Veen, Michael van Gerwen among others also play in the Hungarian capital.
