Peter Wright put his name in the history books as he beat Kim Huybrechts 6-5 to clinch the International Darts Open in Riesa, Germany, the 11th out of 12th event on this years' Euro Tour to become just the fourth man to seal ten
PDC titles in a calendar year.
In an brilliant final, Wright posted a 102.65 average as he battled back from 4-2 down before holding off a spirited fightback from the Belgian to win it in a decider.
Wright landed a 116 checkout though for a 12-dart leg to snatch the title and the £25,000 top prize to round off the weekend in Germany which is a good return to form for the World Number 3 ahead of ProTour events at the weekend and the World Grand Prix.
The win is Wright's fifth
European Tour title of the year, and his tenth overall - having clinched the UK Open as well as multiple ProTour titles including multiple UK Open Qualifiers at the start of the year which kicked off the start of a brilliant year so far for Snakebite.
