The Order of Merit tables have been updated in the race for the World Championship and Phil Taylor is likely to be 6th seed at his final appearance at the Alexandra Palace.

'The Power' won't play in the Players Championship Finals this weekend and as a result can only go down the rankings with Adrian Lewis and Dave Chisnall behind him but neither player playing to the peak of their powers.
The player that gazumped him was Mensur Suljovic, the Austrian will be hoping for runs at the last two events of the year to make sure of a Premier League place next year with Gurney currently ahead of him in that race. It is likely though that he will get in as a wildcard even if he finishes 5th.
Taylor has a potential last 16 clash with James Wade and a potential quarter-final with Gary Anderson and like in the World Matchplay will need a magical run to make it a brilliant 17th to end his career on a high in January.
