Terry Jenkins will miss out on potentially a final World Championship appearance and a 14th consecutive one at that. 'The Bull' stated like Phil Taylor that he wanted to retire at the end of the year but unlike Taylor has chosen to only really play in 2 tournaments and that was Players Championship events a few months back which were only used by 'The Bull' as he was on the verge of missing out.
He spoke to Tungsten Tales at the start of the year : '“I’m going to wind it right down after the World Championships. I’ll probably knock the tours on the head; particularly the European Tours, and just play what I’m in through the rankings really.' and with Terry not playing in enough tournaments he may lose his tour card and have to go to Q-School if he wants to keep going.
He has stated his intentions by not appearing at the PDPA Qualifier next week which determines the final spots for the World Championship with the likes of Ronnie Baxter, Richie Corner and Tony Newell of note also deciding not to take part. Some of the non-entrants such as John Michael are due to them already appearing in a qualifier previously and so they are exempt.
