A new record has been set in the sale of Premier League tickets for next year's event in Rotterdam. The popular leg of the coming together of the best players in darts in a league format has sold out in just 5 minutes with it always being a real curtain raiser before the finals night at the O2 Arena.
The event is boosted by Michael van Gerwen, the World Number One who will be looking to potentially retain the title he just denied Peter Wright last year at the O2 and despite the line up not being announced yet, Raymond van Barneveld should be back again further strengthening the tournament.
Last year it sold out in 8 minutes so this new record shows how popular the tournament is and it will be interesting to see if the new leg in Berlin sells out as quick as Rotterdam with the Euro Tour's being very high populated affairs and the sport being massively popular in the country with a new World Series of Darts event underlining this fact later this month including home heroes Max Hopp and Martin Schindler hoping to topple the big names in World Darts.
