Gerwyn Price has moved into play-off contention and despite needing other players to lose, he has done his but with an 8-3 win over Peter Wright.

Price performed well averaging 98 and hitting five 180’s en route to a potentially big win for ‘The Iceman’. He started as he meant to go on with a 106 checkout to win the opening leg on throw.
Wright though was up to the task firing in a 136 checkout to make it two a piece in the early going. Price though returned to the front with style hitting a 142 checkout to go 3-2 up.
He stayed at the front though claiming three consecutive legs to go 5-2 up with him breaking throw to cement his advantage at 6-2. Wright stopped the rot though but it was too little too late with Price streaking to the win.
