Results Players Championship 13 Quarter-Finals: Wattimena vs White & Cross vs Bunting in semis

The semi-finals at Players Championship 13 have been confirmed with four players battling it out for the £10,000 winners cheque. They are Ian White, Jermaine Wattimena, Stephen Bunting & Rob Cross.
Only White remains in terms of players who have claimed titles this year and that came in the Players Championship series. He got to this point by defeating today’s surprise package, Dirk van Duijvenbode.
He will face Jermaine Wattimena who has been knocking on the door of winning his first title for a while and is stringing together performances that give him a real chance of doing so today.
In the other semi-final it will see two players who have both enjoyed success in their careers and are both getting back into form, Stephen Bunting & Rob Cross. You have to feel that today is the perfect day for Cross to prove the doubters wrong and claim a first title since the World Championship.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
