Results Players Championship 9, Last 32: Wright and Cross dumped out

We are through the Last 32 stage at the 9th Players Championship event in Wigan. Michael van Gerwen still remains but multiple big names have gone home.

These include Peter Wright and Rob Cross who have been dumped out by Simon Stevenson and Ryan Joyce. Stevenson is known as one of the most formidable players on the floor and showed that defeating him in a deciding leg.
The same can be said about Ryan Joyce who has seriously impressed on the Players Championship series this year. Also the likes of James Wade, Adrian Lewis and Daryl Gurney are through despite Cross & Wright bowing out.
In addition one of the best players on the Challenge Tour, Michael Barnard is having another brilliant run. He defeated Dawson Murschell with a 95 average to secure a Last 16 spot.
