Results Players Championship 9, Last 64: Anderson scrapes through, Van Gerwen smashes Johnson

Van Gerwen smashed Darren Johnson in his victory in the PDC Players Championship 9. After seeing off Jamie Lewis he only dropped one leg in beating Darren Johnson and hit another ton plus average to remain as favorite.
Cross overcame Ross Smith 6-4 in a close game between the pair and Gary Anderson also came through a close tie with Jeffrey de Zwaan who he has defeated in a Players Championship final this year.
