REVEALED: The highest-ranked players who won't be at the UK Open

But this year, some big names will be absent from the 'FA Cup of Darts'. Almost all of the world's top 32 has qualified for the UK Open after six qualifying tournaments. Sixteen players from the top 64 of the PDC Order of Merit did not make it.
Gary Anderson, Raymond van Barneveld, Benito van de Pas and Joe Cullen needed just one day's work to qualify. 'The Flying Scotsman' even won one of the qualifiers, and his earnings allow him to skip the first two rounds.
Based on the current rankings, world number six Mensur Suljovic is the biggest absentee in Minehead. The Austrian opted not to enter any of the six qualifiers. Mark Webster failed to make the UK Open Order of Merit's top 96, and misses out. The former Lakeside champion earned just £750, and fell short on countback.
Christian Kist, Jan Dekker and Jeffrey de Graaf will also miss the UK Open. The same applies to Dekker as to Webster; countback counted against him. De Graaf (£500) and Kist (£0) fared even worse
Well-known names such as Ronny Huybrechts, Kevin Painter, Devon Petersen, Brendan Dolan, Josh Payne and Max Hopp also failed.
