Rhys Mathewson Interview: 'The World Series is a great idea'

Dartsnews.com recently caught up with Australian darts star Rhys Mathewson for a brief chat to speak about his performance last weekend and to look ahead to this weekend where he will be taking part in the World Series once again in the form of the Perth Darts Masters. Rhys Mathewson : My performance against Peter Wright was a bit of a shocker. Looking forward to redeeming myself this weekend. Rhys Mathewson : Last year beating James was certainly good for my career, it gave me more confidence in my self which has helped out a lot. Rhys Mathewson : The World Series is a great idea it gives locals the chance to play against the worlds best! Win or lose it's a great experience that all of the qualifiers will never forget. Rhys Mathewson : The Auckland final was amazing! Corey being my doubles partner and Kyle a great mate it was brilliant to see both of them into a final on TV. It does show how much darts down under has improved over the last few year and how much depth there is now. With the World Series continuing to come here I'm sure it will only continue to keep getting stronger.
