Rob Cross continued his brilliant first year on the tour by reaching his first major final in Hasselt which is astonishing for the former electrician who up to 15 months ago was still doing that.
He lost to Michael van Gerwen who completed an astonishing four in a row in the tournament and he was back to winning ways finally on TV after a barren patch but for Cross he admitted he had a fantastic week but wants to keep progressing and enjoying it.
Cross averaged 102.39 in defeat in the final, and admitted: "I had one flat session and that's what cost me, those five legs after the second break, but I've had a fantastic week.
"Michael is phenomenal and he's a player for me to look up to with what he's doing in the game and his dominance. What I've done in ten months is amazing but I want to keep progressing and enjoying it too."
